ACROSS THE ALLEY

I finally got my new camera. The Canon 5d Mark II. I decided to take it out for a little test spin. So, being a really nice day out and needing some inspiration, we headed across the alley to get inside the old section of the Buggy Works building. All 14500 sf of it.

Originally built in 1902 by the Columbus Buggy Company, it was the world’s largest manufacturer of horse drawn carriages. It has since gone through a cross section of individuals and businesses; manufacturers, engineers, creative class entrepreneurs, artists, galleries, theatres and dance clubs.

There were tons of random things everywhere that showed how much this building has really been through—barber chairs, christmas trees, a full apartment, a showroom, the list goes on and on.

We did however manage to get stuck in a portion of the building because the doors seemed to magically lock as soon as we went through them. Needless to say it ended up being a great afternoon. Be sure to check out the pics from the whole ordeal. Next time I need to test out the Canon 5d Mark II’s HD video capabilities.
